BROOKLYN ERA NS-2™ #669 May
10th, 1983 |
 |
On July 24th, 1983
Sting performed his
first concert with his
new white Spector NS-2™
It was the second
show of the tour.
This tour would last
from July 23rd, 1983 to
March 4th, 1984.
The Police would do 105
shows.
Sting would use his
white NS-2™ for 104 of
them. After the
tour ended and the
Police broke up, Sting
would continue to use
his NS-2™ in the studio
for his solo career.
In 2003 when the
Police were inducted
into the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame, Sting
donated the bass to be
part of their ongoing
exhibit at the Rock
Hall's museum.
It is now on display
there as you enter the
museum's main exhibits.
Over 500,000 people see
it yearly. |

The history of
Spector instruments
is closely tied to
the history of the
company itself.
Through the
different periods of
Spector's near
40-year history,
many models have
been introduced and
many have been
discontinued.
This section
of our website goes
into great detail on
an area of business
that most companies
don't often pay
attention to.
But every Spector
bass and electric
guitar has been
designed and
constructed to last
a lifetime. So
to ignore this very
important part of
our growth would be
to do a great
disservice to our
many customers
through the years
are
still playing their
Spector and enjoying
it, regardless if
the model is no
longer made or has
evolved into
something different. |
